Curver-ի պատմությունը սկսվել է դեռևս 65 տարի առաջ, 1949 թվականի մայիսին, երբ Փիթեր Կուրթիուսը և Ադ Վերշուրենը հիմնադրեցին ապակու փաթեթավորման ընկերություն: Այս ընտանեկան բիզնեսը ստացել է իր անվանումը երկու հիմնադիրների կրճատ անունների միացման արդյունքում:
